it feels like it's been a month, but only a week has passed since we kicked off the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) in Valencia's tech management program, and we really hit the ground running with a first deliverable due tomorrow!

the kick-off was a high-energy whirlwind introduction to the CDTM experience, and, honestly, i couldn't have imagined a better way to start than spending a few days at a summer camp tucked away in the countryside (swimming pool and beer included).

my personal favorite sessions were the introductory workshop we had on design thinking by Néstor Penella Romero, and Larissa de Moura's session on innovative consulting. she shared how the discipline she practices is not so much focused on creating reports and slides, but on co-creation and creativity. her insights left me deeply optimistic about the enduring value of the human touch in strategic and innovation consultancy. ultimately, it takes human intuition to uncover the nuanced challenges that data and text inputs miss, and to drive change in a way that aligns with a company's unique shortcomings, culture, and operational realities.

the workshops and the fireside chats with my peers reminded me of how i love being immersed in such environments, surrounded by smart and curious people. it is not everyday, as adults, that we can have the space to play, explore and challenge ourselves outside of work.

ahead of us are five very intense weeks, full with a lot of research, expert interviews and the creation of new business ideas. days are long, with CDTM and my full-time job, but i really cannot complain 🤎
